More Virtual Books Currently in Development

Following the highly successful launch of the South West Coast Path Interactive DVD, we are pleased to announce that there are numerous further products currently in development.

The next two products, scheduled for launch during autumn 2008, feature Hadrian's Wall and The William Wordsworth Way.

The William Wordsworth Way:

Taking in some of the most magnificent upland country in England, this path leads the walker through 180 miles of the Lake District National Park and has as its central theme the poet William Wordsworth. Starting at his birthplace in Cockermouth, the route traces a circular course embracing the stunning scenery and taking in the places that figured in Wordsworth's life and the scenes that inspired his work. The route easily split into fourteen easily manageable day sections that each start and finish within easy reach of accomodation of all types. Concise step-by-step route instructions are augmented with notes and the occasional verse that explains, at salient points along the way, how the landscape shaped the thoughts and work of Wordsworth, and what there is for the present day walker to see and experience.

Clear and easy to use route maps and topographic profiles for each stage are complemented by the high definition video profiles, stunning full colour images and masses of interactive planning data as follows:

  • Real time on-line weather forecasts
  • Real time travel information on how to get there by road, train, bus or bike
  • Places to stay
  • Places to eat and drink
  • 3D ordnance survey map flythroughs showing topographic profiles
  • Safety information - Mountain resue
  • Information on other facinating things to see and do in and around the Lake District
  • Historical information relating to W Wordsworth and a host of other intersting characters who spent part of their lives in Lakeland; Beatrix Potter, Stan Laurel, Malcolm Campbell and the water speed record attempts etc.

This product will be a definitive guide to the best the Lake District has to offer the walker, both serious and casual. As with our South West Coast Path product this fabulous planning guide is remotely updateable offering you, yet again, great value for money.

This product will be available in Autumn 2008 - come back soon for regular updates to the progress of the production process.
