David Hunt

From loyal service in the British Army in Belize and the Falkland Islands to developing renewable products strategies for local government, David has a vast commercial repertoire alongside the vision of future technologies in publishing.  David has dedicated his career to computer science, software, publishing, reprographics and future technology – including interactive guides both in the UK and in Australia. An avid walker, he first conceived the idea of a fully interactive, living guide book more than 10 years ago and has dedicated his time exclusively to the creation and development of the first book – The South West Coast Path since April 2006.  David is married with two young sons and lives in Cornwall.

Peter Kirvan

As an accomplished ad man turned private equity investor, Peter has worked with some of the worlds’ leading brands.  He masterminded memorable campaigns for famous names like Peugeot, Toshiba, Orangina and Sharwoods in his capacity as Managing Director of agency, Horner, Collis and Kirvan. He is also well-known for establishing the Cardew collectible pottery and creating partnerships with the likes of Disney and Aardman, that turned the brand global.  Since selling his share in the company, Peter has concentrated on investing in dynamic emerging brands and at VBC, plays a hands on role as Marketing Director. He is married with two grown up daughters and divides his time between London and Devon.

Mark Crump

A versatile and dynamic Finance Director, Mark can count the mergers, acquisitions and restructurings of leading British businesses in his portfolio. More than 18 years of robust financial agility have led him to work at the highest level with brands such as Carlsberg-Tetley, The Beer Seller, Scottish & Newcastle and WaverleyTBS . Mark now spends his time working for Luxury Tableware Suppliers, Chomette, based in London and also provides consultancy support for various blue chip companies. Mark’s married with two small boys and lives in Devon.

Bill Peaker

An impressive, blue chip track record at the highest levels in the commercial world blends perfectly with Bill’s knowledge of an appealing array of leisure pursuits. Drawing on two decades of experience culminating as a regional MD for Allied Breweries, Bill went on to launch successful businesses specializing in leisure industry loyalty and direct mailing as well as smart card technology and recycling, with a particular interest in CRM. Bill acts as VBC’s Commercial Director and in his spare time writes for the Good Food Guide and runs a private fine wines consultancy. He also raises substantial sums for the RNLI and Save the Children. Bill is married with a grown up daughter and lives near Exeter.
